Prior to transitioning to their forever home, every puppy undergoes an exhaustive physical examination conducted by a licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Our comprehensive pre-placement health check includes:
- Complete cardiac auscultation for congenital heart murmurs.
- Ophthalmic evaluation for juvenile cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy (PRA).
- Musculoskeletal assessment for patellar luxation and hip dysplasia.
- Brachycephalic respiratory tract check (stenotic nares and elongated soft palate verification).
- Age-appropriate DHPP core vaccinations, multi-stage parasite deworming, and ISO microchip installation.
2. Hereditary & Genetic Defect Coverage
If within 10 years from the date of adoption a licensed veterinarian confirms via diagnostic imaging or genetic testing that the dog suffers from a debilitating, life-threatening genetic or congenital condition, Argotshihtzu will honor one of the following remediation paths:
- Option A: Full reimbursement of reasonable veterinary medical expenses associated with the condition up to the original purchase price of the puppy.
- Option B: A replacement puppy of equal value from the next available health-screened litter, with full retention of your original companion.
3. Buyer Responsibilities & Care Standards
To keep this 10-Year Guarantee fully valid, the adopter agrees to adhere to the following lifelong care covenants:
- Schedule an initial baseline examination with a licensed veterinarian within 72 business hours of taking possession of the puppy.
- Maintain continuous, age-appropriate preventive health care including annual checkups, heartworm prevention, and core vaccinations.
- Provide high-quality nutrition specifically formulated for small or brachycephalic breeds and maintain a healthy body condition score to prevent stress on joints.
- Avoid exposing puppies under 16 weeks of age to public spaces with unknown canine disease vectors prior to full vaccination completion.
4. Exclusions & Limitations
This guarantee specifically covers severe congenital and hereditary conditions. It does not cover treatable parasitic infections (such as giardia or coccidia contracted post-rehoming), accidental injuries, umbilical hernias, hypoglycemia resulting from improper nutritional maintenance, or conditions arising from neglect or improper housing environment.
